02/12/2021 - Baseball Factory Opening Day Classic (HS - West) Cole is an athletic 2B/RHP prospect who showcased his skills during the Opening Day Classic. In the field, Cole shows smooth footwork with a quick first step. He gets into a low position and fields the ball out in front of his body. His exchange is clean and he gets rid of the ball quickly, making accurate throws with carry through his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance with loose hands. He is controlled getting his hands activated in his load and hits against a strong front side. He works through a level swing with plus bat speed, leading to consistent contact and gap to gap pop. On the mound, Cole shows a two pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 75mph with sinking action. Breaking ball sits from 64-67mph with sharp 9-3 break. Overall, Cole is a talented prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

12/09/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - San Bernardino, CA Cole is an athletic (5'11"/160), R/R 2B who can pick it. Defensively, he shows quick/active prep moving lightly on the balls of his feet. He plays low/athletic, presents his glove and funnels smoothly. Transfer is quick as he has the ability to throw from multiple arm slots. As a hitter, this righty displays an athletic/balanced stance with smooth rhythm and active hands to load. He whips the barrel with + bat speed and connects with pop, creating good backspin. He hits the ball where it's pitched, spraying line-drives. Forsyth is a talented MIF prospect who should find success in this his senior year.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
