11/08/2024 - Baseball Factory West Coast Fall Select Training & Competition (HS) Cole is a skilled shortstop and second baseman from Freeport, ME, who will graduate in 2027. He recently worked on his game at the Baseball Factory West Coast Fall Training in Arizona, where he further honed his abilities. Defensively, Cole does an excellent job of centering the baseball and keeping his eyes behind the ball, showing solid fundamentals with active feet. He throws from a three-quarter arm slot, though improving his arm strength will help him make more consistent, strong throws across the diamond. At the plate, Cole stands in an open stance and uses a level swing path that allows for consistent contact. He exhibits good plate discipline, as evidenced by reaching base four times on walks during recent games. With three more years of development ahead of him, Cole has a solid foundation and plenty of time to refine his skills and continue to grow as a well-rounded player.

06/25/2024 - National Showcase - Boston, MA Cole is a 2027 SS from Freeport, ME. A young player who works to center the baseball with ability to make routine plays. He throws from a high 3/4 arm slot. He starts in an athletic and open stance. He hits into a firm frontside and made contact to all fields during his round of BP. With continued growth and development, we foresee this player improving in all facets of his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
