12/27/2019 - Baseball Factory West Coast Winter Classic (Ages 12-14) Cole is a coachable 3B/RHP prospect who worked hard on his skills during the West Coast Winter Classic. In the field, Cole takes a good first step and gets into a low position. He fields the ball out in front of his body and gains momentum well on his throws, keeping them accurate to his target. Working on his footwork can help Cole improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a square stride. He gets his hands activated in his load and drives through well with his lower half. He takes a level swing with decent bat speed, leading to solid contact. Cole can improve as a hitter by working a smoother rhythm into his load. On the mound, Cole gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a loose arm and stays inline towards the plate, driving his lower half well. Cole's fastball tops out at 61mph. Extending through his release more can help Cole improve as a pitcher. With four more years to develop, Cole has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.
