08/29/2024 - All-Ripken Games - Baltimore, MD Cole is a tall and lean middle infielder/RHP who impressed scouts with his athletic actions at the Ripken Games in MD. In the field, he has smooth body control and plus range. He made an exceptional diving play at SS that left a huge impression. On the mound, he has long levers and a strong lower half. He displays confidence and competes on every pitch. His FB reached 67 velo and carried through the zone. His secondary pitches are developing and based upon his mobility, scouts feel he can. At the plate, he has a feel for his swing and raw power at 59 exit velo. He collected a double in game action along with several quality at-bats. Overall, scouts love his feel for the game and feel he has a bright future.

04/05/2024 - All-Ripken Games - Myrtle Beach, SC Cole played the infield well for the Victory squad during the PreSeason All-Ripken Games in Myrtle Beach. His double, handful of singles and a pair of walks meant that Cole was on base a ton during the event. His short swing is efficient and he uses the entire field well with flashes of power. Better head discipline and swing decisions will help him take better advantage of his quality swing. In the infield Cole has natural, athletic actions with sure hands and a quick, clean exchange and release. HIs arm has very good carry across the diamond and is accurate. Overall, there is a lot to like in this you prospect who has a bright future ahead of him.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
