08/27/2023 - National Showcase - Missoula, MT Cole is a 2024 LHH OF/2B prospect with an athletic frame from Missoula, MT. In the OF, he shows off active feet and takes good routes to the baseball. He gets behind the baseball and fields with firm hands. He has a quick exchange and makes accurate throws to his cutoff with a quick release. At second, he has active feet and centers the baseball when fielding. He gets in a low fielding position and shows off firm hands out in front. He has a quick exchange and makes accurate throws from a 3/4 slot. He is able to make throws from different slots depending on the play and also does a good job of following his flips on double plays. At the plate, he starts in a closed stance and gets a good load back. He has a firm frontside with his lower half and shows off good bat speed. He lets his hips work through contact and finishes strong. He has a line drive approach and sprays the ball to all fields. Overall, Cole is an exciting prospect that we are excited to see more of during his senior year of high school!

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
