12/27/2024 - Baseball Factory Holiday Classic at Pirate City Cole is a promising 2027 catcher from Millsboro, DE, who recently worked on refining his skills at the Baseball Factory Pirate City Holiday Camp. Behind the plate, he excels at gaining ground toward second base and showcases a strong, accurate arm with an arm velocity reaching 81 mph and a best pop time of 2.25 seconds. Cole’s communication skills and natural leadership abilities stand out, making him a key presence on the field. At the plate, he begins with an open stance and loose hands, using a controlled stride to get his lower half through the swing. His ability to keep the barrel in the hitting zone for an extended period helps him make consistent contact, and he recorded a double and three walks during game action. With two more years of growth and development, Cole’s potential will continue to rise, and he is on track for a bright future behind the plate.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
