11/05/2023 - National Showcase - Indianapolis, IN Colin continues to show as a very advanced and physical player (6'0, 135) for his age (2028 grad). Athletic measurables are very strong. Defensively, he has very good actions and an understanding of the SS position. He plays with energy, controlled aggression, and fluidity. He is equally talented at the plate, showing a real feel for the barrel and advanced power (81 mph exit velocity). Colin is an exciting prospect in the 2028 class!

12/11/2022 - Official Player Development Membership - Indianapolis, IN Colin is a SS/RHP in the 2028 class. He recently impressed scouts with his actions and natural abilities on the field. At SS, he flashed his talent with his hands and footwork in his groundball play. Had an understanding of his to play the position and was advanced in his double play actions. On the mound, he showed above average arm speed and body control. He FB sat 63-4 with a slight cutting action. His CB ranged from 47-50 with 12-6 spin and medium break. His CH sat 48-51 and with added strength and grip adjustments, it can become part of his pitching future. At the plate, he is an aggressive hitter who likes to attack pitches in the zone. He has a short and compact swing and shows to be a high contact rate hitter with pop (76 exit velo). Can use all fields in his approach and looks to become a future lead-off hitter. Overall, Colin has tremendous starting points and scouts are eager to see his progress at future events.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
