01/17/2020 - 2020 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Colson is a tall, lean SS who will graduate in 2021 and has a promising future on the diamond. At the plate, hitting/power potential are at a pro level. Hands are quick (92 mph exit velocity) as he squares the ball up consistently driving it on a line. He has strength in his swing and drives the ball to the deepest part of the park. Defensively, he takes a quick first step and has plus lateral range (6.89 60 time). He creates angles around the GB with fluid actions. DP turns are quick with zip (89 mph velocity) on his throws. Defensive abilities are near pro level as he shows big play potential. Colson has tremendous upside and will get looks from top collegiate coaches/pro scouts with his baseball abilities.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
