06/26/2023 - National Showcase - Washington (Pittsburgh), PA Colt is a 2028 RHH 1B prospect from Shelocta, PA. At first, he does a good job of getting a good prep step and getting to a ready position. He centers up ground balls making all the routine plays, getting in a squared fielding position and presenting his hands out in front. His feet move well and he has good bag awareness. His exchange is clean and he shows off a short arm action, making accurate throws to his targets. At the plate, he starts in a closed stance and gets a good hand load. His rhythm in the box is smooth and he does a great job of keeping his balance centered. He has a firm-frontside with his lower half and shows off a lot of intent with his swing. He stays direct to the baseball and gets good hip turn, squaring up the ball consistently. He recorded an impressive 76 MPH exit velo and projects as a gap to gap hitter. Overall, Colt is an exciting prospect that we are excited to see continue to develop!

02/25/2023 - National Showcase - Palmyra (Harrisburg), PA Colt is a 1B who will graduate in 2028. A young/developing player with strength present and plenty of room to add throughout. At 1B, he works to center the baseball and plays with good effort/energy. Showed good glove actions and hands out front. Throws from a high 3/4 arm slot and an arm velocity up to 62mph. Presents a big target at first base with good footwork around the bag. At the plate, he hits from a tall and square stance. A simple setup to start and takes an aggressive swing. He hit balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 65mph. With 5 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Colt having a bright future on the baseball field.

11/04/2021 - Baseball Factory Select Training at Pirate City Colt is a 1B/RHP prospect who showcased his skills during the Select Training at Pirate City. In the field, Colt makes the routine plays and keeps his throws accurate to his target. Working on his glove technique can help Colt field ground balls more efficiently. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and takes a soft stride. He gets into a small load and engages his lower half well. He works through a level swing with fast bat speed and good extension, driving the ball to his pull side. Colt can generate more pop off the barrel by continuing to add strength. On the mound, Colt gathers over the rubber and works with a clean arm. He stays inline toward the plate and finishes with a controlled landing. Colt's fastball tops out at 55mph with tailing action. Finishing with his chest over his front knee can help Colt improve his pitch command and velocity. With seven more years to develop, Colt has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

09/12/2021 - All-In Membership - Erie, PA Colt is a solid 1B/RHP who will graduate in 2028. At the plate is where he shows best through an open setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He tracks ball well and makes consistent contact through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. At 1B, he shows smooth / fluid actions. He displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Hands are clean but needs to present more out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 53-55 mph with sink. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. He can improve as a pitcher by long tossing to build up his arm strength and develop off speed stuff. With 7 years to further develop, Colt has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.
