03/17/2013 - College PREP - Plainview (Lubbock), TX Colter is a tall OF who is a solid all-around player. Defensively, he is aggressive and takes good routes/angles to get behind the ball. He has a quick/clean exchange and throws accurately to his target. At the plate, this right-handed hitter is patient and lets the ball travel into the zone. He delivers the barrel, creates extension through contact, and hits line-drives to all fields. Getting a better load will help to increase power at the plate. With some progress offensively, this OF will be one to keep an eye on.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
