01/11/2015 - Interactive Video Program - San Antonio, TX Colton is a young 2-way player as a 2B/OF. With the bat, this RHH shows an open setup with good balance. He gets good hand separation with on-time rhythm. Swing path is level as he connects and hits line-drives. At 2B, Colton works hard around the GB and into a square fielding position. He fields the ball cleanly and gives accurate DP feeds. In the OF, he hustles to track down fly-balls to his right and left. He shows good range and can cover some ground. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
