Behind the plate, he showcased soft hands while receiving and had accurate throws to second. At the plate, he showed a good feel for the zone and swung with intent every pitch. With several years of development until high school, we expect that Colton will continue to grow as an athlete.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
