01/14/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Colton is an athletic SS in the 2026 class. In the field, he gains ground and take solid attack angles to the baseball. He squares his body well and fields in a low athletic stance. Works from the ground up and funnels the baseball properly. He redirects the baseball with clean actions and gets to a low ¾ arm slot. His feeds are to his targets with dependable accuracy. Working on sinking his hip to his backhand side will allow him to push through the baseball more. At the plate, he makes solid contact to the pull side. Demonstrates barrel feel while being on time with the pitch. His open stance allows him a comfortable feel to see the ball well. Working on keeping his front side closed will allow him to stay inside the ball with higher frequency and use the whole field. With 5 years of dedication and hard work, Colton will become a solid prospect.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
