Official Scouting Report

  • 7Class Rating
  • SS/2BPosition Projection

07/09/2024 - Cape Cod Select Training & Competition (HS) Connor is a 2B in the 2026 class who recently competed at the Cape Cod Experience. Scouts described him as a very coachable player who worked hard all week to make the adjustments needed for his game. In the field, scouts project a move to the OF but feel with high quality reps and game action, he can stay on the dirt to develop. He needs to work on squaring his body to the baseball and work to sink his hips. This will allow him to play under the ball and create his own hop. At the plate, he works to create rhythm in his swing and shows the ability to hit line drives. He maintains his eyes on the barrel through contact and works to stay balanced. Staying soft on his front side will be a key as he matures as a hitter. Overall, Connor is a team player, who hustles and works hard.

04/07/2024 - National Showcase - Charlottesville, VA Conner is a wiry 2B who will graduate in 2026. At 2B, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate, flashing carry but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. With 2 years to further develop, Conner has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
