11/03/2024 - National Showcase - Salem, VA Conner continues to show significant progress and promise in his baseball development. At shortstop, he demonstrates smooth, clean actions with active footwork and proper mechanics, allowing him to square up ground balls and transition fluidly through his plays. His glove work is soft, presenting well out front, and his lateral movement enables him to create strong fielding angles. At the plate, Conner excels with an open setup, quick hands, and an 82 mph exit velocity. His level swing path keeps him inside the ball, enabling consistent line-drive contact to all fields. With better engagement of his lower half, his power potential will continue to grow. On the mound, Conner’s fastball ranges from 75-76 mph, complemented by an 11/5 breaking ball with late movement. His changeup features arm-side run with maintained arm speed, while his slider adds an extra weapon with tight spin and short break. As he builds more arm strength through a long-toss program, his stock as a two-way player will rise even further.
