Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • OF/LHPPosition Projection

03/21/2021 - All-In Membership - Tomball (Houston), TX Connor is a 2024 OF/LHP. Medium frame athletic build with strength in lower half and plenty of room and time to develop more. Ran a 7.10 60-yard dash. Primary OF with active and efficient footwork. First step reads allow him to create good angles and play through the ball. 1 hand high catch with a high/clean exchange. Throws from a 3/4 arm slot and creates momentum on his throws into infield. Secondary left-handed pitcher works from the stretch exclusively. Free and easy mechanics allows him to repeat his delivery. Eyes on target through delivery with ability to command 3 pitches. Works off of a FB with arm side run. Mixes in a 1/7 curveball with good depth and late break through the zone. A developing changeup that he throws with FB arm speed and arm side run. A long toss and J-band program, as well as utilizing his lower half, will improve Connors' arm strength and command. Left-handed hitter who hits from a square and athletic stance. Quiet head/eyes allow him to track pitches well. A linear bat path with good extension out front and consistent contact to all fields. Four years of continued growth and development will bode well for his opportunity to play at the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
