Connor is a 1B/LHP prospect who showcased his skills during the All-Region Tournament. In the field, Connor shows great footwork and fields in an athletic position. His exchange is clean and he makes accurate throws on double plays. At the plate, this LHH sets up in a balanced stance and rotates through the zone well, producing strong contact. On the mound, Connor gathers over the rubber and works inline toward the plate, finishing with a controlled landing. He operates with a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 83mph with late arm side run. Breaking ball sits from 64-66mph with 1-7 break. Changeup sits at 74mph with sinking action as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Overall, Connor is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

Connor continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At the plate is where he has improved the most, now displaying well above average hitting abilities with solid power potential through a squared setup. Hands are quick (82 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap to gap pop. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. At 1B, defensive abilities are well above average as he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he works to square balls up but needs to play through with his body. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. He displays proper footwork around the bag and he is a quality receiver. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. On the mound, delivery is sound and repeatable, allowing his arm action to work well to the plate. Arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 81 mph. Breaking ball displays 1/7 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup but throws too hard, resembling fastball. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

Connor continues to show as a prospect on the diamond. At 1B, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork around the bag and he is a quality receiver. Glove action is soft / sure and presents well out front. Throws are accurate to his target. At the plate, he shows a tall, open setup. Hands are quick and works through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 76-79 mph. Breaking ball displays 2/8 shape with gradual shape. He maintains arm speed on his changeup but throws too hard, resembling fastball. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as more arm strength through a long toss program.
06/16/2019 - Omaha National World Series - Session 1 (Ages 14-18)
Connor continues to shine on the diamond. On the mound, he has a good overall delivery, a good arm action, and he rotates his hips through to his target. He stands over the rubber well, is around the plate with all of his pitches. Fastball showed a range of 74-78 mph. Breaking ball displays 1/7 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Defensively, his feet play well, and he moves with good body control to the baseball, displaying proper footwork around bag. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he shows a squared / athletic setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he works to utilize his lower half more efficiently through the swing. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

At 1B, defensive abilities have improved as he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he attacks balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. He displays proper footwork around the bag and he is a quality receiver. Range will continue to increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. At the plate, hitting abilities have improved through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Working to get stride foot down sooner to work on time will aid in improving hitting. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 79 mph. Fastball shows a range of 72-79 mph with tailing action. Breaking ball displays 2/8 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with tailing action. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength.
08/01/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18)
Connor is an athletic and talented 2021 2-way prospect that worked hard and made several adjustments throughout the week at Pirate City. At 1B, Connor has good foot work off the bag and picks the ball. He needs to continue to presents a low/early glove, works from the ground up, and improve his footwork on double play feeds. At the plate, Connor starts in an open stance, loads his hands back, and his off a firm front side. He needs to continue to create backside rotation and attack the inside part of the ball with a middle approach. On the bump, Connor gathers over the rubber, separates on time, and works fasts. He needs to continue to have a strong front side and work north to south in his delivery. His fastball sits 71-73 and he has a 12-6 break in his curveball. He needs to continue to have the same arm speed as his fastball when throwing his changeup. Connor will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.
