11/08/2024 - Baseball Factory West Coast Fall Training (MS) Connor, a 2030 outfielder and right-handed pitcher, made significant progress at the Baseball Factory West Coast Fall Training in Arizona. In the outfield, he demonstrates soft hands and solid fundamentals, with impressive carry on his throws to the cut-off man, showcasing his ability to make accurate and efficient throws. As a switch hitter, Connor shows natural power from both sides of the plate, along with a strong ability to control the barrel and a solid understanding of the strike zone. While his switch-hitting ability is a valuable skill, he will need to put in the work to continue developing and maintaining this versatility. On the mound, Connor displays smooth arm action and a strong pitching IQ, consistently pitching ahead in the count and staying aggressive. His fastball features armside run, and he pairs it with a curveball to keep hitters off balance. With continued development, Connor will need to trust in his abilities and keep working hard to maximize his potential. His dedication and well-rounded skill set give him a bright future in the game as he continues to grow and improve.

07/22/2024 - National Showcase - Glen Allen (Richmond), VA Connor is an athletic OF/RHP who will graduate in 2030. In the OF, he utilizes his aggressive feet as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls but needs to play through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he shows as a switch hitter with similar abilities from both sides. Hands are loose and work through an aggressive swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 55-57 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup but throws too hard, resembling fastball. Slider is harder with tight spin. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 6 years to further develop, Connor has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
