12/27/2013 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City Connor showed as a RHP and 1B at Pirate City. He was very effective on the mound during the event. On the bump, he threw two pitches - FB at 77 MPH and offspeed at 67-68 MPH. He changed speeds well and stayed directional to the dish. His arm action was free and he got good extension over the front side while using his lower half effectively. His offspeed pitch proved to be an effective pitch that projects well at the next level. Developing his front side and keeping his eyes on the target better will help him to improve on the mound. Over at first, he presented a good target, was patient to stretch and worked well around the bag. Connor needs more reps at 1B to help him with improving his footwork and feel for the position. With the stick, he was level through the zone and was patient to drive balls oppo. Keeping his head still and hands back will help him develop as a hitter in the coming years. In all - Connor is a sophomore two-way guy that has 3 seasons of high school baseball left to tune his skills for the next level. We expect him to continue to improve with hard work and experience.
