08/02/2017 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Connor is a good sized two-way player that pitches and plays 3B. He currently projects better in the INF showing good direction toward the ball, fielding in a square position, and good direction. Connor makes plays on balls hit his way, keeps it in front of his body, and throws with accuracy and consistency from a loose arm action to his target. Defensive abilities can get better if Connor can quicken his footwork, field further out in front, and play more through the ball. On the mound, Connor has a repeatable delivery and he keeps his eyes on target. He has a quick arm action, proper stride, and a controlled landing. Mound effectiveness can improve if Connor can avoid throwing across his body, sharpen his off-speed, and use more lower body. At the plate, Connor is a strong hitter with quick hands and pop to the pull side. He loads well, has fast bat speed, and he uses his lower ½. Hitting numbers can get better if Connor can let the ball travel deeper, improve barrel accuracy, and shorten his swing path.
