Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • RHP/1BPosition Projection

11/08/2015 - College PREP - Lake Elsinore (Los Angeles), CA Connor is a skilled (RHP/1B) who has a tall/strong frame (6'4"/205). On the mound, this righty throws an effective 3-pitch mix from an overt-the-top arm slot. He has smooth separation, stays directional and drives downhill toward the dish. FB cracks the mitt at 82 mph while showing arm-side run. Curveball shows 10/4 shape with good action. Changeup has run and is thrown with FB arm speed helping to create deception. With the bat, this RHH has a balanced setup with rhythm in his hands. Barrel delivery is short/direct to and through the zone as he connects and creates extension through contact. At 1B - Connor has active prep and is aggressive to come and get the GB. He moves well around the 1B bag with the frame and agility to get to anything thrown his way. He can go get it and picks with soft/sure hands. Martin is a 2-way prospect who will make things happen in a variety of ways on the diamond.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
