07/13/2010 - College PREP - Washington DC, MD Connor showed solid improvements in his game since his last workout in Bowie. He lowered his 60 time from 7.5 to 7.02, and increased his velocity from 69 to 83 MPH. He also showed improvements in the INF and at the plate. At 3B, Connor has a good set-up, good hands, and good footwork. He fields the ball out in front, works around the ball, and he flashes a soft backhand. Connor throws accurately with some carry to his target. Defensive skills can continue to improve if he can finish his throws, and stay low when fielding the baseball. On the mound, Connor's FB touches 83 MPH, he has good glove side lead, and he keeps his eyes to his target. He gets to his balance point well, works in good tempo, and he keeps his arm speed the same with all of his pitches. If Connor can add arm strength, and avoid dragging his arm, mound effectiveness can further improve. At the plate, Connor has good balance, bat speed, and barrel accuracy. He has quick hands, a line drive approach, and he can spray the ball to all fields. Added physical strength, a leveled off swing, and more lower 1/2 will help offensive numbers continue to improve.
