Feet are active, working in line and gaining ground through the throwing process. Throws flash carry and are accurate as he shows pop times in the 2.12-2.19 range with a means of 2.13. Receiving and blocking skills show potential to be quality tools at the next level. He shows off his athletic abilities through the blocking process, working to keep all balls in front. Offensively, Phelps shows as a switch hitter that is better from the right side but has potential from the left. He attacks the baseball with his hands as he utilizes his lower half well from the right side with baseball jumping off his bat when centered. From the left side, he makes consistent contact as he throws the barrel through the zone. With 3 years to further develop, Connor has a lot of potential offensively and defensively at the plate and will get looks from the collegiate coaches as he continues to improve.
