07/24/2024 - Baseball Factory Teams - Southwest Championships 18U Connor Schwettmann is a 2026 C/RHP prospect with an impressive 6'4", 185-pound athletic frame. Behind the plate, Connor showcases excellent arm strength and does an outstanding job of receiving pitches, making him a reliable asset to his pitching staff. At the plate, Connor hits from the left side with an open stance. He has a knack for battling through counts and demonstrated remarkable discipline throughout the tournament, not striking out once. His offensive performance included going 2-for-6 with 2 walks and an RBI. On the mound, Connor was equally impressive. He displayed exceptional composure and control, pitching 9 innings while issuing only 2 walks and striking out 4 batters. Connor’s ability to perform both behind the plate and on the mound highlights his versatility and potential as a standout player.

01/28/2024 - National Showcase - San Marcos (San Diego), CA Connor is a gifted 6ft 4/175 lefthanded hitting C in the 2026 class. Behind the plate, he has an athletic feel. His feet work well with his body and he shows agility. Stays square to the target and the ball sticks to the pocket. His transfers are quick and clean and he gains a loose over-the-top slot. Arm plays at 86 velo and registered a 2.03 pop that were frequently on the bag. Displays advanced blocking techniques and proves to be a strong defender. At the plate, he has raw power at 87 exit velo. Stays compact and swing is repeatable. Gains a proper load and balance stays inside his feet. Hits off a firm front side and hands are explosive and strong. Path is short and direct and creates hard line drive power to the pull side. Overall, Connor is a must follow in the 2026 class.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
