08/25/2024 - All-In National Showcase - Missoula, MT Cooper is a 2032 RHP/C and is an exciting young talent with a promising future. As a catcher, he demonstrates a solid setup and strong fundamentals, highlighted by his ability to stick the ball effectively and maintain a good spine angle on blocks. His glove work is efficient, leading on blocks and contributing to a best-in-class pop time of 3.25 seconds. His arm velocity, reaching up to 61 mph, is indicative of his developing strength and potential. At the plate, this young prospect showcases balanced weight distribution and a strong ability to make consistent contact to all fields. On the mound, he exhibits a clean arm stroke and reliable strike-throwing ability. His repertoire includes a fastball, a curveball, and a cutter, which he delivers from a high 3/4 arm slot. As he continues to mature and develop, both physically and technically, there is substantial potential for growth in his pitching capabilities. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
