Official Scouting Report

  • 2Class Rating
  • RHP/SSPosition Projection

01/12/2024 - 2024 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Cooper is an outstanding 6ft/160 switch-hitting SS/RHP in the 2025 class. He recently impressed scouts with his two-way actions at the BF Preseason All American event. In the field, he has numerous tools. He has quick feet (6.93 runner) and shows excellent range. Creates fluid and agile movements and plays low to the ground. His hands are soft and the ball sticks to his pocket. Arm is loose and gains a over-the-top quick release to produce strong accurate throws. Has solid bag awareness on his feeds and spins. On the mound, he was equally impressive. He repeats his delivery and establishes a strong balance position. He gets excellent extension and likes to attack hitters on both sides of the plate. Showed an electric FB at 88-9 with downhill life and arm side run. His CB displayed late break and downward tilt at 69-73. His CH complements his FB at 77-8 with great sink and movement. Collected 5 K’s and no base on balls in 3 innings of work. At the plate, he has a compact swing and stays simple. He is on-time to hit and stays inside his feet for great balance. Bat path is direct from both sides and he shows above average bat to balls skills from both sides. Overall, Cooper is a strong and smart two-way player. Scouts love his ability on the mound and feel he can be a great addition to a team with his glove and bat.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
