09/29/2024 - National Showcase - Lebanon (Nashville), TN Cooper is a 2027 shortstop from Munford, Tennessee, who displays solid skills and potential on the field. He showcases good glove action from a square fielding position and executes a clean exchange, demonstrating effective double play footwork. Does a good job of holding his route on slow rollers. As a right-handed hitter, he utilizes an on-time stride and maintains good balance, allowing for effective hand separation and a flat barrel path that enables him to spray the ball to all fields. As a rising sophomore, he has plenty of room for growth and development, making him an exciting prospect to watch in the coming years.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
