08/04/2010 - College Prep Super Regional - Mattoon, IL - AM Cord is a thick, average, High School Catcher that will graduate in 2011. Defensively, Cord has a narrow base, he presents his glove well, and he looks the ball into his glove. He has a decent exchange, he sets his feet well, and he is online when throwing to his target. If Cord can improve his angles when blocking, quicken his feet, and add arm strength, defensive abilities can further improve. At the plate, Cord has good balance, some life in his barrel, and he works the ball up the middle of the field. He can spray the ball to all fields, and if he can have more direct hands to the ball, and get his front foot down sooner, we could see a spike in offensive tool grades.
