11/08/2012 - Baseball Factory Training & Competition at Pirate City Dakota showed as a LHP and at 1B for the first time where he projects best for the next level. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork around the bag, displaying clean hands. He moves well laterally and is a quality receiver, presenting hands out front. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a solid setup with good rhythm / tempo. He loads well with hands working through a level swing path. He shows a feel for the barrel with power numbers improving as he learns to use his lower half more. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 71-73 mph with slight arm side run. Breaking ball displays 2/8 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with fading action. Control is a plus as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.
