08/18/2012 - Under Armour All-America Game Dulin has a medium frame at 5-foot-9 and 165 pounds. He is a switch hitter with a solid move from both sides of the plate. He hits with good balance, and has bat speed and the ability to produce line drives with enough life to work through the gaps. Defensively, he features good hands and solid actions along with enough arm strength to turn the double play. More than any of his tools standout, his feel for the game and the usability of his tools are his hallmarks.

06/13/2012 - 2012 Team One Florida Showcase Dalton is a switch hitting 2nd baseman with good skills. Defensively, Dalton has quick feet, athletic actions, and he moves well to the ball. He has good body control, makes plays, and he throws with accuracy to his target. A looser arm action, and softer hands can help improve defensive tool grades. At the plate, Dalton is equally as good from both sides of the plate. He is aggressive from both sides, he has good barrel accuracy, and a line drive swing. More rhythm and letting the ball travel can help abilities improve from both sides.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
