09/12/2021 - All-In Membership - Frederick, MD Damon is a tall SS/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2024. In the field, Damon gets into a square position and fields with sure hands. His exchange is clean and he makes accurate throws across the diamond. Long tossing can help Damon build up his arm strength. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an open stance and takes a short stride. He is smooth to load and works through a direct swing, producing consistent contact. Damon can generate more pop off the barrel by driving his lower half more. On the mound, Damon gathers over the rubber and works inline toward the plate, finishing with a controlled landing. He operates with a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 73mph with tailing action. Breaking ball sits from 57-59mph with 10-4 break. Changeup sits from 60-62mph as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Loosening his arm action can help Damon improve his pitch command and velocity. With three more years to develop, Damon has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.
