05/26/2018 - College PREP - Salt Lake City, UT Damon is a solid, strong OF who has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed is tremendous as indicated by his 60 time of 6.76. In the OF, he displays outstanding defensive abilities and utilizes his feet well in taking proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls, playing through with momentum to his target. Range is excellent as he reads balls well off the bat and covers a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with on line carry to his target. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work to and through level swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with power showing best to the pull side. Damon has a lot of potential and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
