11/08/2024 - Baseball Factory West Coast Fall Select Training & Competition (HS) Damon is a promising freshman outfielder and second baseman from Oklahoma City, OK, who recently worked hard to improve his skills at the Baseball Factory West Coast Fall Training in Arizona. In the outfield, he starts in an athletic, ready position and works well behind and through the baseball. His high catch technique allows him to field cleanly, and he has a quick release when getting rid of the ball, showing strong fundamentals. At the plate, Damon begins in a crouched stance with loose hands and a square glide step, maintaining good balance with his weight between his knees. His lower half rotates well, and his plate discipline is strong, as demonstrated by reaching base twice on walks during live games. Damon plays fast in the outfield and has great upside as he continues to develop. With continued growth and dedication, he has the potential to become a very dynamic player both defensively and offensively.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
