04/27/2014 - College PREP - Plymouth Meeting (Philadelphia), PA DJ is a solid, strong 1B that will graduate in 2015. At the plate is where Endler shows best, displaying outstanding hitting / power grades through an athletic setup. Hands are quick, generating tremendous bat speed and work through a level swing path. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields and has strength in his swing. Barrel accuracy is a plus with baseball exploding off his bat when centered. He will hit and hit with power at the next level. At 1B, he works to square balls up and displays clean /soft hands. Footwork is proper around the bag and is a solid receiver. For defensive grade to continue to improve, he needs to attack balls more, present hands more out front, and increase foot quickness. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. Daniel has potential and will catch the eyes of the collegiate coaches with his abilities at the plate.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
