01/10/2010 - College PREP - Hightstown, NJ Daniel again showed similar skills in Hightstown as he did 10/09. He is a big, strong frame behind the plate and he has some ability. Daniel is accurate behind the plate, gains ground, and works through the baseball. His glove is quiet, yet stiff, and he receives the ball well. Daniel centers the ball on his chest when blocking and manages to cover the "5" hole. Looser actions and a long toss program are recommended for Daniel to sharpen his defensive skills. Offensively, Daniel has good balance and a level swing. He finds the barrel of the bat, but will need to incorporate more lower 1/2 into his swing and shorten his stroke for offensive numbers to improve.
