Official Scouting Report

04/24/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Plymouth Meeting (Philadelphia), PA Daniel is a 2024 SS out of Quakertown, PA. Defensively, he showed great athleticism by moving well laterally and adjusting to the hops. He fields the ball in a low athletic position while presenting his glove early to pick the ball cleanly. He works through with momentum and clean exchanges to set up his arm to play with strength and accuracy throwing across the diamond. Offensively, Daniels is versatile as a switch hitter. From the right side, he displayed good balance throughout his swing while working the middle of the field in his approach. As a lefty, he continued to show hard contact with a line drive approach and worked the pull side more in his swing. Daniel is a talented prospect we believe has the tools to continue to the next level if he continues to progress his game with hard work.

09/12/2021 - All-In Membership - Trenton, NJ Daniel is lean SS who has a promising future on the diamond. At SS, defensive abilities are solid as he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he works to square ball and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. He moves well laterally and utilizes his quick feet (7.10 60 time) in covering a lot of ground in the MIF. Throws are accurate with carry (82 mph velocity) across the diamond but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (82 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing and shows a feel for the barrel. With 3 years to further develop, Daniel has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
