08/01/2010 - College Prep Super Regional - West Lawn, PA - AM Daniel is strong, stocky, 2-way player that will graduate in 2012. In the OF, Daniel is aggressive to the ball, he has good footwork, and he makes plays on balls hit his way. He squares his shoulders to his target, he gets on top of the baseball, and he throws accurately with good carry to his target. More direct routes to the ball and a quicker transfer will help OF skills get better. At 3B, Daniel has an early glove and he fields the ball aggressively. He makes plays, gets good momentum toward 1st base, and he gets on top of the baseball. Defensive grades can get better with lighter feet, fielding the ball further out in front of his body, and by adding arm strength. Offensively, Daniel has quick hands, good bat speed, and good extension through the ball. He has pop in his bat when he centers the ball and shows signs of raw power. If Daniel can avoid wrapping the bat, improve his barrel accuracy, and use more lower 1/2, offensive grades can further improve.
