07/20/2022 - Southwest Championships 16U, powered by Baseball Factory's Team One Daniel is a C who will graduate in 2025. Good frame athletic build with strength present and room to add more strength. At C, active/efficient feet and presents a low target. Works around ball with good direction towards second base. Showed a quick arm with accurate/online throws from a high 3/4 arm slot and an arm velocity of 77 mph and a best pop time of 2.20 seconds. A right-handed hitter, hits from an upright and athletic stance. Simple load, with good rhythm, and a good bat angle at contact. Good contact hitter who recorded a bat exit velocity of 90 mph during his live game action. With continued growth and development, we foresee him having a bright future on the baseball field.

01/16/2022 - All-In Membership - Orange (Los Angeles), CA Daniel is an athletic C/SS who has a promising future on the diamond. Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. He uses his body through the blocking process, centering balls out front. Pop times showed in 2.32 range with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. At SS, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he works around but needs to play through balls more with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increases foot quickness. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Lower half works well through the swing as he leads with his backside hip. With 3 years to further develop, Daniel has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
