02/18/2024 - National Showcase - Keizer (Salem), OR Daniel is a high academic 5ft 9/145 3B in the 2027 class. In the field, he shows the trust factor to make the routine play look routine. He creates a positive 1st step and centers his body to the baseball. Pocket is firm and he gains a loose 3 qtr slot. Arm plays at 79 and working to stay in his legs will generate further carry on the ball. At the plate, he uses a tall stance and is on-time to hit. Has 78 exit velo and working to improve his balance will allow him to stay in control of his swing actions. Overall, Daniel is a young player who has time to develop strength and skills to become a great player.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
