01/16/2009 - Under Armour Pre-Season All America - 2009 Danny continues to show improvement in baseball abilities. Arm strength has improved the most now showing near above average. He does need to continue on a strict long toss program to aid in further developing arm strength and lowering pop times. Hands and quick feet work well through the catch and throw process creating a quick release. At the plate, hands are quick, generating bat speed and showing a solid feel for the barrel. He was 2 for 6 at the event making consistent contact. Hayes has abilities with a lot of room to continue to improve.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
