01/17/2020 - Baseball Factory's Spring Training Tournament at Pirate City (Ages 14-18) Danny continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At 2B, feet are active but needs to attack balls more and play through with his body. Glove action is firm but needs to present more out front. At the plate, power potential has improved through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

10/13/2019 - College PREP - Romeoville (Chicago), IL Danny is a lean 2B who will graduate in 2020. At 2B, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are aggressive as he works to square balls up but needs to play through with his body. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a squared, crouched setup. Hands are quick (80 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Hitting grades will continue to improve as he stays closed and works to stay inside the ball to utilize all fields. Danny has abilities with a lot of room to continue to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
