Official Scouting Report

  • 3Class Rating
  • SSPosition Projection

01/12/2024 - 2024 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Danny is an exceptional 6ft 1/191 switch-hitting SS in the 2025 class. He continues to impress scouts and recently performed well at the BF Preseason All American event at IMG Academy. Defensively, he has numerous tools. His footwork is solid and he displays excellent range. He has a positive 1st step (7.07 runner) and creates angles to the baseball. The ball sticks to his pocket and he redirects with clean actions. Arm is loose and he has an understanding of his internal clock. He can read the speed of the baseball and use a quick release or gather himself on red runners. Shows advanced techniques around the bag on his feeds and spins. At the plate, he is a natural RH and his LH shows projectability. He has strong balance from both sides and his hands are quick (84 exit velo). Barrel is in the zone and he has above average strike zone awareness. Shows great skills on the paths and is an exceptional 1st to 3rd runner. Overall, Danny has a great feel for the game. He is always in control of his actions and is a great decision maker. Scouts love his make up and feel he has a bright future ahead of him.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
