09/01/2013 - College PREP - San Francisco, CA Danny is a senior C that shows pops as low as 2.14 seconds. As a backstop, he has good tracking to receive and a quick transfer to throw. He is quick to block with an ability to deaden the ball and recovers well with his feet. Offensively, he uses the entire field with good rhythm and makes square contact. He has a quality approach and stays in the strike zone with his barrel as long as possible. Overall - Molinari is a projectable catcher that should have a good senior season.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
