05/02/2010 - College PREP - Boise, ID Danny is a young 2B with a small frame that shows some projection as he continues to physically mature. Feet are active and aggressive in coming to get, playing through the baseball with feet / hands. Glove action is soft, clean, and presented down, out front in making all the plays. Throws show some carry and hands / feet work well together in getting rid of the baseball quickly. He will benefit by getting on a long toss program. Offensively, Myers shows a balance approach allowing his hands to work inside the ball, utilizing all fields. He needs to work on keeping hands / barrel through the baseball at point of contact. With 2 years to further develop, Danny has potential with time and room to improve.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
