01/19/2024 - 2024 Baseball Factory Rookie Pre-Season All-America Tournament Dante is a 2027 C/1B/OF prospect that recently showcased his skills at the Rookie Pre-Season All-American Tournament. Behind the dish, he showed off active footwork and a good setup. He gives his pitcher a good target and receives the ball out in front with firm hands. His exchange is clean and quick and he does a nice job of creating momentum with his throws to his target. He makes accurate throws on the bag. He moves efficiently when blocking balls in the dirt and does an excellent job of centering the ball, tucking his chin, and getting a good angle with his back. He recorded an impressive pop time of 2.21 seconds. At the plate, he starts in a squared, crouched stance and has loose, comfortable hands. He has a small, activated load and a short, squared stride to the pitcher. He has very controlled movements in the box and works through the ball with explosive movements with his lower half. He has a short, compact, on-plane swing and does a great job of getting extension through contact. His hands are strong and he shows off some power to the gaps, making hard consistent contact. He recorded an impressive exit velo of 83 MPH. He reached base one time in four plate appearances with a walk. Dante is an exciting prospect that we are looking forward to seeing more of in the future!
