03/07/2010 - College PREP - Oklahoma City, OK Darian is a young, small, OF that will graduate in 2012. Defensively, Darian takes good routes to the ball and he makes plays on balls hit his way. He plays through the ball, gets rid of it quickly, and his throws are accurate to his target. Defense can improve with a looser shoulder, added arm strength, and by not throwing across his body. Offensively, Darian has a solid set-up and he tracks the ball well. He works the ball to all fields, and with a better stride, more live hands, and better use of his lower 1/2, hitting can get better.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
