03/13/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Jacksonville, FL Dariel is a long, lean, 2-way player who plays SS and RHP. Defensively, Dariel has active footwork, a low fielding position, and he moves with good agility to the baseball. He makes plays, works the double play well, and throws with accuracy and momentum across the diamond. Continuing to quicken footwork and adding arm strength will only help defensive improve. On the mound, this RHP has good balance, a loose arm circle, and he keeps his eyes on target. He has on-time hand separation, a controlled landing toward home plate, and he shows solid glove side pull. Mound effectiveness can improve by not throwing across his body and a more complete finish. Offensively, Dariel has a square/athletic stance, good balance, and he loads his hands back well. He has fast bat speed, makes hard/level contact, and he hits with strength to the pull side. If Dariel can work on timing and tap into more lower 1/2, solid hitting will get even better.
