05/14/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Tampa, FL Darvin is a LHP/OF who will graduate in 2022. Defensively in the OF, he presents his hands out in front and works into a square fielding position. He takes aggressive routes on fly balls and makes accurate throws to his target. On the hill, this lefty keeps his eyes on target and delivers with clean arm action. He separates on time and works with good rhythm. At the plate, Darvin tracks pitches well into the zone. He explodes his lower 1/2 through and drives pitches with pull side pop. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
