06/24/2010 - Omaha Pro Select Training and Tournament - Week 2 David is a two-way player on the mound plus at 1B with a tall, lanky body that shows projection as he continues to physically mature, filling out. Currently, he projects best on the mound for the next level. Delivery is sound, showing proper mechanics as he works on a strong downward plane. Fastball shows a range of 80-82 mph as he will benefit by getting on a long toss program. Breaking ball is best off speed pitch, displaying 11/5 shape with tight spin and short, late break. Changeup shows average feel for with arm side run. He attacks hitters throwing strikes with all his pitches, changing speeds well. Defensively, He shows some range with solid hands as he presents a good target at 1B. Offensively, Keplesky shows a short, level path to the baseball as he works hands through the ball at contact. Power is best to the pull side due to long swing path. David has a lot of potential, especially on the mound where he will get some looks from the collegiate coaches as he continues to improve.
