01/07/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (AZ) Dax is an athletic SS prospect who showcased his skills during the Pre-Season All-America Tournament. In the field, Dax shows efficient footwork and makes the routine plays. His exchange is clean and he shows the ability to throw from multiple arm angels, keeping his throws accurate/on-line to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and gets back into his load well. He works through a level swing with good extension, spraying the ball to all fields. Overall, Dax is a talented prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

09/04/2020 - HS All-Region Tournament Dax continues to show improvements on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.31 runner. At SS, he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He shows a feel for the barrel and makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side.

01/17/2020 - 2020 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Dax shows as a solid prospect that showed well at the Pre-Season Rookie All-American. At SS, Dax showed relaxed movements with quick and active footwork as he moves to the ball. He shows agile range to the ball and fields in a square position making a clean exchange. He gets rid of the ball with a quick arm action delivering an accurate throw with life. Hitting, Dax shows an open stance with comfortable hands as he gets a simple load with fluid rhythm. He shows a short and compact swing with +barrel control delivering line drives to all parts of the field. Dax will be a prospect to watch as he continues to grow and get stronger.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
